Product Description

Coal-based columnar activated carbon is manufactured using high-quality anthracite as the raw material; it undergoes activation and advanced refining processes to produce a specialized carbon medium for gas filtration.

This coal-based columnar activated carbon features a well-balanced pore structure and a large specific surface area. It is highly effective in purifying waste gases-such as H2S-and is characterized by its light weight, strong adsorption capacity, excellent abrasion resistance, and high mechanical strength, ensuring a long service life in wastewater treatment applications.

It is widely utilized in paint spray booths, for the purification of organic solvents and volatile toxic gases, in general gas treatment processes, for the purification of industrial and domestic water, for solvent recovery, and for the removal of odors from wastewater, among other applications.

1. Strong Adsorption Performance, Wide Range of Applications
With a specific surface area reaching 500-1500 m²/g and a highly developed microporous structure, it demonstrates efficient adsorption capabilities for harmful gases-such as benzene derivatives, alcohols, and carbon tetrachloride-as well as for organic substances, residual and heavy metal ions found in water. It is particularly well-suited for VOC abatement, advanced purification of tap water, and the pretreatment of industrial wastewater.

2. High Mechanical Strength, Abrasion-Resistant
Its mechanical strength typically exceeds 90%; it resists fragmentation under high-pressure conditions or during frequent backwashing cycles, thereby minimizing the risk of carbon fines leakage and system clogging, and ensuring long-term, stable operation. Compared to wood-based or coconut-shell-based activated carbons, coal-based columnar activated carbon offers superior abrasion resistance.

3. Optimized Pore Structure, High Mass Transfer Efficiency
Featuring a multi-tiered pore system comprising micropores (<2 nm), mesopores (2-50 nm), and macropores (>50 nm), it not only provides an abundance of adsorption sites but also facilitates the rapid diffusion of adsorbates, thereby enhancing both adsorption kinetics and capacity.

4. Highly Regenerable, Extended Service Life
Once adsorption saturation is reached, the material can be regenerated using high-temperature steam or hot air; with a recovery rate exceeding 70%, it can be reused multiple times, leading to significant reductions in operating costs. Its average service life spans 2-3 years-approximately 1.4 times that of standard coal-based activated carbons.

5. Low Cost, Outstanding Cost-Effectiveness
Manufactured from high-quality anthracite-a raw material with a stable supply and low cost-it is ideally suited for large-scale industrial applications. In contexts such as wastewater treatment and flue gas desulfurization/denitrification, the unit processing cost is significantly lower than that of other adsorption materials.

6. Uniform Morphology, Excellent System Compatibility
Its cylindrical granular form (typically 3-5 mm in diameter) features high bulk density and low bed resistance, making it compatible with various devices-including fixed-bed adsorption columns, air purifier filter cartridges, and gas masks-while ensuring uniform airflow or water flow distribution.
